UAE stock markets close Thursday in red territory

UAE – Mubasher: The UAE stock markets have witnessed a negative performance by the end of Thursday's trading session.

The benchmark index of the Dubai Financial Market (DFM) declined by 1.03% to close Thursday at 2.491.97 points.

A total of 138.51 million shares were traded through 2,218 transactions valued at AED 172.08 million.

The market cap value decreased by AED 3.12 billion to AED 339.98 billion, compared to AED 343.1 billion during the previous session.

Arabian Scandinavian Insurance (Ascana) led the losing stocks with 5%, while BH Mubasher topped the rising stocks with 6.79%.

As for the Abu Dhabi Securities Exchange (ADX), the main index went down by around 0.84% to settle at 5,045.32 points by the end of Thursday's trading session.

Turnover amounted to AED 453.73 million after 99.99 million shares had been exchanged through 2,027 transactions.

The market cap value declined by AED 720 million to AED 728.22 billion, compared to AED 728.94 billion during the previous session.

First Abu Dhabi Bank (FAB) came on top of the red zone with 2.12%, while Gulf Cement Co (GCEM) headed the green zone.
