UAE stock markets closes Wednesday in red zone

The UAE stock markets have ended Wednesday's trading session in the red zone. The benchmark index of the Dubai Financial Market (DFM) went down 0.05% to settle at 2,902.65 points by the end of Wednesday's session. A total of 230.55 million shares were traded through 3,440 transactions valued at AED 268.15 million. Ithmaar Holding led the losing stocks with 4.78%, while Emirates Refreshments topped the rising stocks with 8.59%. As for the Abu Dhabi Securities Exchange (ADX), the main index inched down by around 0.21% to close Wednesday at 6,969.64 points. Turnover amounted to AED 1.64 billion after 543.003 million shares had been exchanged through 7,613 transactions. National Takaful Company (Watania) topped the red zone with 10%, while Zee Stores headed the green zone with 14.95%.
