UAE stock markets end Monday on green territory

UAE - Mubasher: The UAE stock markets have witnessed an upward performance by the end of Monday's trading session.

The benchmark index of the Dubai Financial Market (DFM) rose by 2.89% to close Monday's session at 2,579 points.

A total of 265.83 million shares were traded through 5,131 transactions valued at AED 436.98 million.

The market cap value increased by AED 6.95 billion to AED 348.67 billion, compared to AED 341.72 billion during the previous session.

Emaar Properties led the rising stocks with 5.31%, while BH Mubasher headed the losing stocks with 4.95%.

As for the Abu Dhabi Securities Exchange (ADX), the main index went up by around 0.72% to settle at 5115.46 points by the end of Monday's session.

Turnover amounted to AED 450.02 million after 103.99 million shares had been exchanged through 2,732 transactions.

The market cap value rose by AED 6.62 billion to AED 734.74 billion, compared to AED 728.12 billion during the previous session.

Gulf Pharmaceutical Industries (Julphar) topped the green zone with 5.26%, while Al Ain Al Ahlia Insurance led the red zone with 4.97%.
