UAE stock markets end Wednesday in green zone

UAE - Mubasher: The UAE stock markets have closed Wednesday's trading sessions on positive note.

The benchmark index of the Dubai Financial Market (DFM) rose by 1.23% to end Wednesday's trading session at 2,511.46 points.

A total of 159.88 million shares were traded through 2,700 transactions valued at AED 159.88 million.

The market cap value increased by AED 2.96 billion to AED 342.28 billion, compared to AED 339.32 billion during the previous session.

Emirates Refreshments Co (ERC) led the green zone with 14.99%, while Al Salam Group Holding topped the red zone with 4.48%.

DXB Entertainments posted the highest trading volume of 36.30 million shares, while Emaar Properties recorded the highest turnover of AED 39.05 million.

As for the Abu Dhabi Securities Exchange (ADX), the main index went up by 0.64% to settle at 5,142.31 points by the end of Wednesday's session.

Turnover amounted to AED 408.39 million after 102.66 million shares had been exchanged through 2,465 transactions.

The market cap value rose by AED 5.59 billion to AED 740.15 billion, compared to AED 734.56 billion during the previous session.
