ADX, DFM close Tuesday with mixed note

The main index of Dubai Financial Market (DFM) fell by 12.83% (0.33) on Tuesday and ended the trading session at 3,774.24 points. A total of 221.82 million shares were exchanged at a value of AED 354.08 million. Al Firdous Holding led the risers with 14.95%, while Emirates Central Cooling Systems Corporation (Empower) headed the fallers with 2.19%. Emaar Properties generated the highest turnover with AED 59.28 million, while Ithmaar Holding dominated the trading volume with 40.07 million shares. On the other hand, the benchmark index of the Abu Dhabi Securities Exchange (ADX) went up by 0.011% to 9,463.83 points. The turnover reached AED 915.97 million through the exchange of 196.03 million shares, while the market cap value hit AED 2.71 trillion. International Holding Company (IHC) posted the highest turnover of AED 209.47 million, while RAK Properties was the most active stock with 38.78 million shares. Gulf Pharmaceutical Industries (Julphar) advanced the gainers with 6.21%, while Hayah Insurance Company was the top decliner with 6.98%.
