DFM, ADX close Thursday with mixed note



UAE – Mubasher: The main index of Dubai Financial Market (DFM) lost 12.04 points (0.29%) on Thursday and ended the trading session at 4,117.98 points.

DFM’s turnover reached AED 324.81 million through the exchange of 176.86 million shares.

Emaar Properties generated the highest turnover of AED 72.60 million, whereas Ithmaar Holding was the most active stock with 30.77 million shares.

BHM Capital advanced the risers with 14.93%, while Al Sagr National Insurance Company topped the decliners with 9.87%.

On the other hand, the benchmark index of the Abu Dhabi Securities Exchange (ADX) ended the session higher by 0.489% at 9,844.70 points.

A total of 609.31 million shares were traded at an amount of AED 2.38 billion, whereas the market cap hit AED 2.99 trillion.

Besides recording the highest turnover of AED 369.89 million, Q Holding dominated the trading volume with 107.71 million shares.

Gulf Pharmaceutical Industries led the gainers with 6.75%, while Sharjah Cement and Industrial Development Company headed the fallers with 8.19%.
