DFM, ADX close Wednesday with collective decline

The main index of Dubai Financial Market (DFM) went down by 34.20 points (0.85%) and closed Wednesday’s trading session at 3,987.76 points. A total of 298.36 million shares were traded at a value of AED 386.35 million. Orascom Construction led the risers with 4.95%, while Dubai National Insurance and Reinsurance (DNIR) topped the decliners with 10%. Emaar Properties recorded the highest turnover of AED 65.73 million, while Union Properties was the most active stock with 110.75 million exchanged shares. The benchmark index of the Abu Dhabi Securities Exchange (ADX) also ended the trading session lower by 0.331% at 9,665.47 points. ADX’s turnover amounted to AED 987.83 million through the exchange of 233.71 million shares, while the market cap value hit AED 2.80 trillion. International Holding Company (IHC) posted the highest turnover of AED 206.64 million, while ADNOC Gas was the most active stock with 31.17 million shares. Foodco National Foodstuff (FNF) advanced the gainers with 14.84%, while Emirates Insurance Company headed the fallers with 9.89%.
