DFM closes Thursday up; ADX down

UAE - Mubasher: The UAE stock markets have ended Thursday's trading session on a varied note.

The benchmark index of the Dubai Financial Market (DFM) grew by 47.07 points (1.53%) to close the trading session at 3,108.87 points.

A total of 103.85 million shares were traded at a value of AED 296.74 million.

Emirates Refreshments Company topped the risers with 6.31%, while Dubai Islamic Insurance and Reinsurance Company (Aman) led the fallers with 4.37%.

Meanwhile, Emaar Properties was the most active stock in terms of the trading volume and value with 24.58 million shares exchanged at AED 123.41 million.

On the other hand, the benchmark index of Abu Dhabi Securities Exchange (ADX) decreased by 0.36% to 9,161.30 points.

The turnover stood at AED 1.17 billion through the exchange of 142.36 million shares. The market cap amounted to AED 1.94 trillion.

National Marine Dredging Company (NMDC) advanced the gainers with 7.81%, while Gulf Cement Company topped the fallers with 9.17%.

International Holding Group (IHC) posted the highest trading value of AED 326.46 million, while Multiply Group was the most active stock on which 29.42 million shares were exchanged.
