DFM closes Thursday up; ADX down

The main index of Dubai Financial Market (DFM) closed Thursday’s trading session higher by 38.01 points (0.96%) at 3,962.42 points. The turnover hit AED 530.71 billion through the exchange of 467.81 million shares. Emirates NBD posted the highest turnover with AED 84.06 million, whereas Ithmaar Holding dominated the trading volume with 114.55 million shares. Ekttitab Holding topped the gainers with 14.74%, while Al Firdous Holding headed the losers with 9.97%. On the other hand, the benchmark index of the Abu Dhabi Securities Exchange (ADX) fell by 0.15% to 9,604.41 points. A total of 342.52 million shares were traded at an amount of AED 1.17 billion, while the market cap value stood at AED 2.78 trillion. International Holding Company (IHC) witnessed the highest turnover of AED 200.80 million, whereas Manazel was the most active stock with 69.19 million shares. Sharjah Cement and Industrial Development Company led the risers with 10.63%, while Finance House advanced the decliners with 9.91%.
