DFM closes Tuesday up; ADX down

UAE - Mubasher: The UAE stock markets ended Tuesday’s trading session on a varied note.

The benchmark index of the Dubai Financial Market (DFM) closed the session higher by 27.16 points (0.79%) to reach the level of 3,463.59 points.

The turnover amounted to AED 281.72 million through the trading of 147.48 million shares.

Ekttitab Holding advanced the risers with 9.25%, whereas Dubai Islamic Insurance and Reinsurance Company (Aman) led the fallers with 3.35%.

Emaar Properties generated the highest turnover of AED 135.36 million, while Ithmaar Holding was the most active stock on which 31.57 million shares were exchanged.

On the other hand, the benchmark index of the Abu Dhabi Securities Exchange (ADX) edged down by 0.02% to close at 9,970.11 points.

A total of 218.55 million shares were traded at a value of AED 1.29 billion. Meanwhile, the market cap reached AED 2.09 trillion.

ADC Acquisition Corporation (ADC) topped the gainers with 8%, while Commercial Bank International (CBI) headed the decliners with 10%.

International Holding Group (IHC) posted the highest turnover of AED 302.44 million, while Multiply Group was the most active stock on which 58.69 million shares were traded.
