DFM closes Wednesday up; ADX down



UAE – Mubasher: The main index of Dubai Financial Market (DFM) ended Wednesday’s trading session up by 11.95 points (0.30%) to 3,996,99 points.

The turnover amounted to AED 238.78 million through the exchange of 82.74 million shares.

In addition to generating the highest turnover of AED 68.97 million, Emaar Properties was the most active stock with 9.80 million shares.

National General Insurance Company led the risers with 6.68%, while Islamic Arab Insurance Company (Salama) headed the fallers with 7.58%.

On the other hand, the benchmark index of the Abu Dhabi Securities Exchange (ADX) went down by 0.094% to 9,532.79 points.

A total of 182.57 million shares were traded at an amount of AED 964.44 million, while the market cap value reached AED 2.87 trillion.

International Holding Company (IHC) witnessed the highest turnover of AED 209.33 million, whereas Q Holding dominated trading volume with 22.40 million shares.

National Marine Dredging Company (NMDC) advanced the gainers with 9.49%, while Gulf Cement Company was the top faller with 5.97%.
