DFM down on Thursday; ADX up

UAE - Mubasher: The UAE stock markets recorded mixed performance by the end of Thursday's trading session.

The benchmark index of the Dubai Financial Market (DFM) went down by around 0.88% or 20.09 points to close today's session at 2,262.93 points.

A total of 390.98 million shares were traded through 4,088 transactions valued at AED 269.23 million.

Union Properties headed the losing stocks with 4.12%, while Dubai Islamic Insurance and Reinsurance Co (Aman) led the rising stocks with 11.34%.

As for the Abu Dhabi Securities Exchange (ADX), the main index went up by about 0.49% to settle at 4,855.90 points, marking its highest level since February.

Turnover amounted to AED 2.18 million after 247.67 million shares had been exchanged through 2,470 transactions.

Al Qudra Holding topped the green zone with 2.8%, while Fujairah Building Industries led the red zone with 5%.
