DFM ends Thursday up; ADX down



UAE – Mubasher: The main index of Dubai Financial Market (DFM) closed Thursday’s trading session higher after rising by 9.77 points (0.24%) at 4,087.35 points.

The turnover amounted to AED 312.33 million through the exchange of 107.52 million shares.

Emaar Properties witnessed the highest turnover of AED 88.48 million, whereas Takaful Emarat was the most active stock with 15.21 million shares.

Emirates Islamic Bank (EIB) topped the gainers with 14.90%, while AL Firdous Holdings headed the losers with 3.82%.

On the other hand, the benchmark index of the Abu Dhabi Securities Exchange (ADX) edged down by 0.673% to 9,650.10 points.

A total of 237.27 million shares were traded at an amount of AED 1.05 billion, whereas the market cap hit AED 2.95 trillion.

International Holding Company (IHC) posted the highest turnover of AED 221.05 million, while Properties dominated trading volume with 66.45 million shares.

Hayah Insurance Company advanced the risers with 12.62%, while Insurance House led the fallers with 9.91%.
