DFM loses 16 pts on Wednesday

Dubai – Mubasher: The main index of the Dubai Financial Market (DFM) inched down 0.67% or 15.57 points to settle at 2,288.93 points by the end of Wednesday's trading session, unlike its upward performance on Tuesday, 25 August.

A total of 224.24 million shares were traded through 4,831 transactions valued at AED 281.44 million.

The market cap value decreased by around AED 770 million to AED 318.65 billion, compared to AED 319.42 billion during the previous session.

The investment and financial services sector headed the decliners with 2.21%, while the consumer staples came on top of the gainers with 1.06%.

 Khaleeji Commercial Bank (KHCB) topped the red zone with 4.87%, while Emirates Refreshments led the green zone with 11.11%.
