DFM maintains downward performance on Monday

Dubai - Mubasher: The benchmark index of the Dubai Financial Market (DFM) kept its negative performance during Monday's trading session, losing 0.21% or 4.38 points to close at 2,080.66 points.





A total of 206.66 million shares were traded through 2,737 transactions at a total value of AED 190.35 million.





The market cap value declined by around AED 33 million to AED 294.23 billion, compared to AED 294.56 billion during the previous session.





The consumer staples segment led the losers with 4.18%, while the services sector came on top of the winners with 0.90%.





Oman Insurance headed 20 losing stocks with 5%, while Gulfa Mineral Water and Processing Industries topped 11 rising stocks with 14.90%.





Gulf Navigation Holding recorded the highest trading volume of 57.27 million shares, while Air Arabia posted the highest turnover of AED 58.42 million.





DXB Entertainments hit the top of the losing blue chips with 4.51%, while Emaar Properties led the rising blue chips with 1.09%.
