DFM maintains positive performance on Sunday; ADX exceeds 5,000-point level

UAE - Mubasher: The UAE stocks markets have witnessed a positive performance by the end of Sunday's trading session.

The benchmark index of the Dubai Financial Market (DFM) rose by around 2.57% to close Sunday's session at 2,481.84 points, keeping an upward performance for the second consecutive session in a row.

A total of 495.01 million shares were traded through 6,483 transactions valued at AED 585.98 million.

The market cap value climbed by AED 4.65 billion to AED 341.29 billion.

Damac Properties led the rising stocks with 11.02%, while Emirates NBD came on top of the losing stocks with 2.28%.

As for the Abu Dhabi Securities Exchange (ADX), the main index jumped by about 1.38% to settle at 5,033.38 points by the end of Sunday's trading session, exceeding 5,000 points for the first time in ten months.

Turnover amounted to AED 502.07 million after 132.11 million shares were exchanged through 2,756 transactions.

The market cap index increased by AED 11.3 billion to AED 734.79 billion, compared to AED 723.49 billion during the previous session.
