DFM resumes upward performance on Tuesday

Dubai - Mubasher: The benchmark index of the Dubai Financial Market (DFM) inched up 0.31% or 7.1 points to settle at 2,252.39 points by the end of Tuesday's trading session, unlike its downward performance on Monday, 31 August.

A total of 373.08 million shares were traded through 6,433 transactions valued at AED 354.88 million.

The market cap value rose by AED 810 million to AED 313.72 billion, compared to AED 312.91 billion during the previous session.

The consumer staples sector led the risers with 3.05%, followed by the banks segment with 0.85%.

Arabtec Holding headed the green zone with 14.94%, while Al Salam Bank - Sudan topped the red zone with 4.82%.
