Etihad Cargo boosts European capacity with two new gateways

UAE - Etihad Cargo, the logistics arm of UAE national carrier Etihad Airways, is introducing two new routes from its Abu Dhabi hub to Copenhagen in Denmark and Düsseldorf in Germany. It will also launch additional services to German city of Frankfurt.

According to the Abu Dhabi carrier, the opening of these two new gateways will help boost its capacity in the European market. It currently operates seven passenger and four freighter flights per week to Frankfurt.

Starting from May 1, Etihad Cargo will increase weekly flights from eleven to 15 with the introduction of four new services.

From October 1, it will provide cargo capacity out of Denmark with the introduction of four weekly flights, stated the Emirati carrier.

The reinstatement of three weekly flights to Düsseldorf, in combination with the airline’s widebody passenger and freighter flights to Frankfurt and Munich, will offer additional cargo capacity out of Germany. The flights will be operated via state-of-the-art Boeing 787 Dreamliner aircraft, it added.
