UAE Astronaut Shares Video of Saudi Arabia Holy Mosques From Space

UAE Astronaut, Sultan Al Neyadi, in his latest update from the International Space Station (ISS), has shared a video of the two Holy Mosques in Saudi Arabia where thousands of Muslims from around the world are on a pilgrimage during Ramadan.

The Grand Mosque and Prophet’s Mosque in Mecca and Medina, Saudi Arabia, are two of the holiest sites in Islam. Last month, it was revealed that the Kingdom is preparing to welcome over one million visitors during Ramadan.

Sultan Al Neyadi is currently on a six-month space mission at the International Space Station (ISS) alongside other members of Crew-6 who took off to space on March 2.

The astronaut is currently preparing to embark on a spacewalk scheduled for April 28. This will be the first time for the UAE and any other Arab nation. Only nine other countries have performed this feat including USA, Canada, Russia and France.
