UAE stock markets close Monday with varied performance

The main index of Dubai Financial Market (DFM) gained 14.85 points (0.37%) on Monday and ended the trading session at 3,977.27 points. DFM’s turnover hit AED 518.27 billion through the exchange of 374.06 million shares. Emirates NBD posted the highest turnover with AED 84.19 million, whereas Union Properties dominated the trading volume with 175.50 million shares. Oman Insurance Company advanced the risers with 8.45%, while Al Firdous Holding led the losers with 9.87%. On the other hand, the benchmark index of the Abu Dhabi Securities Exchange (ADX) went down by 0.202% to 9,584.78 points. A total of 246.97 million shares were traded at an amount of AED 1.03 billion, while the market cap value reached AED 2.77 trillion. International Holding Company (IHC) posted the highest turnover of AED 214.83 million, whereas Dana Gas was the most active stock with 39.59 million shares. Abu Dhabi National Hotels (ADNH) topped the gainers with 14.96%, while Gulf Medical Projects Company (GMPC) headed the decliners with 9.76%.
