UAE stock markets close Thursday in red



UAE – Mubasher: The main index of Dubai Financial Market (DFM) ended Thursday’s trading session lower by 25.78 points (0.60%) at 4,229.21 points.

DFM’s trading value reached AED 361.64 million through the exchange of 199.57 million shares.

Emaar Properties witnessed the highest turnover of AED 86.54 million, while Islamic Arab Insurance Company (Salama) was the most active stock with 79.37 million shares.

Takaful Emarat led the risers with 14.67%, whereas Al Salam Bank – Sudan headed the decliners with 7.16%.

Likewise, the benchmark index of the Abu Dhabi Securities Exchange (ADX) retreated by 0.784% to 9,315.45 points.

The turnover hit AED 1.26 billion after 314.87 million shares were exchanged, whereas the market cap value stood at AED 2.85 trillion.

International Holding Company (IHC) posted the highest turnover of AED 205.17 million, while Eshraq Investments dominated the trading volume with 86.98 million shares.

Sharjah Cement and Industrial Development topped the gainers with 10.17%, whereas Aram Group led the fallers with 8.96%.
