UAE stock markets close Tuesday’s session on negative note

UAE - Mubasher: The UAE stock markets have witnessed a downward performance by the end of Tuesday's trading session.

The benchmark index of the Dubai Financial Market (DFM) went down by 0.96% to close Tuesday's session at 2,530.56 points.

A total of 214.59 million shares were traded through 3,727 transactions valued at AED 213.22 million.

The market cap value decreased by AED 2.38 billion to AED 344.26 billion, compared to AED 346.64 billion during the previous session.

Al Firdous Holding led the losing stocks with 4.96%, while Emirates Refreshments Co topped the rising stocks with 14.92%.

As for the Abu Dhabi Securities Exchange (ADX), the main index inched down by around 0.41% to settle at 5,132.87 points by the end of Tuesday's session.

Turnover amounted to AED 397.73 million after 101.75 million shares had been exchanged through 2,686 transactions.

The market cap value declined by AED 7.78 billion to AED 733.93 billion, compared to AED 741.71 billion during the previous session.

Al Buhaira National Insurance Co (ABNIC) came on top of the red zone with 5%, while Gulf Cement Company led the green zone with 10.53%.
