UAE stock markets close Wednesday in green zone

UAE - Mubasher: The UAE stock markets have ended Wednesday's trading session in the green zone.

The benchmark index of the Dubai Financial Market (DFM) went up 0.79% to close Wednesday's session at 3,211.66 points.

A total of 73.83 million shares had been traded through 4,746 transactions valued at AED 219.24 million.

Emirates Refreshments Company (ERC) led the rising stocks with 14.91%, while Al Firdous Holding topped the losing stocks with 9.96%.

As for the Abu Dhabi Securities Exchange (ADX), the main index rose by 1.35% to settle at 9,375.12 points by the end of Wednesday.

Turnover amounted to AED 1.25 billion after 154.97 million shares had been exchanged through 8,629 transactions.

Abu Dhabi National Co. for Building Materials (Bildco) came on top of the green zone with 11.18%, while Gulf Medical Projects (GMPC) headed the red zone with 9.68%.
