UAE stock markets close Wednesday in red zone



UAE – Mubasher: The main index of Dubai Financial Market (DFM) ended Wednesday’s trading session lower by 22.46 points (0.54%) at 4,133.31 points. A total of 173.60 million shares were exchanged during the session at a value of AED 307.56 million. Emaar Properties, which recorded the highest trading value of AED 74.71 million, headed the decliners with 6.09%. Union Properties was the most active stock with 40.72 million shares. Mashreq Bank topped the risers with 4.54%. The benchmark index of the Abu Dhabi Securities Exchange (ADX) also fell by 0.39% to 9,032.06 points. The turnover reached AED 996.52 million through the exchange of 532.89 million shares, while the market cap value stood at AED 2.75 trillion. International Holding Company (IHC) recorded the highest turnover of AED 192.36 million, while Eshraq Investments dominated the trading volume with 334.77 million shares. Al Dhafra Insurance Company advanced the gainers with 13.33%, while Sharjah Cement and Industrial Development  Company led the fallers with 6.84%.
