UAE stock markets close Wednesday on green territory

UAE - Mubasher: The UAE stock markets have maintained their upward performance by the end of Wednesday's trading session.

The benchmark index of the Dubai Financial Market (DFM) went up by around 0.28% or 7.23 points to close Wednesday's trading session at 2,539.63 points.

A total of 547.39 million shares were traded through 6,609 transactions valued at AED 451.23 million.

The market cap value increased by AED 730 million to AED 346.04 billion, compared to AED 345.31 billion during the previous session.

Ajman Bank topped the rising stocks with 2.6%, while Dubai Islamic Insurance and Reinsurance Co (Aman) led the losing stocks with 3.6%.

As for the Abu Dhabi Securities Exchange (ADX), the main index inched up by about 0.29% or 14.61 points to settle at 5,076.99 points by the end of Wednesday's session.

Turnover amounted to AED 454.12 million after 145.33 million shares had been exchanged through 3,337 transactions.

Abu Dhabi Ship Building (ADSB) came on top of the green zone with 2.22%, while Abu Dhabi National Takaful Co (TKFL) headed the red zone with 4.83%.
