UAE stock markets close Wednesday's session on negative note

The UAE stock markets have ended Wednesday's trading session in the red zone. The benchmark index of the Dubai Financial Market (DFM) went down 0.50% to close Wednesday's session at 3,112.82 points. A total of 46.65 million shares were traded through 3,213 transactions valued at AED 145.84 million. Al Salam Bank led the rising stocks with 3.75%, while Emirates Refreshments Company topped the losing stocks with 9.89%. As for the Abu Dhabi Securities Exchange (ADX), the main index inched down 0.88% to settle at 9,090.53 points by the end of Wednesday's session. Turnover amounted to AED 1.19 billion after 169.89 million shares had been exchanged through 9,660 transactions. National Bank of Umm Al Qaiwain (NBQ) headed the green zone with 8.11%, while Gulf Cement Company (GCEM) came on top of the red zone with 9.11%.
