The 2023/2024 Bahrain Turf Series continues today at Rashid Equestrian and Horseracing Club (REHC) in Sakhir with its latest two events headlining an exciting eight-race card. The Al Adiyat Cup by National Bank of Bahrain and Al Wasmiya Cup by Al Salam Bank are to be won in the third round of the prestigious $800,000 series, which features 10 races in total.
Each race features $80,000 in total prize money. The Al Adiyat Cup by National Bank of Bahrain is a middle-distance event covering nine furlongs, with six competitors declared. They include The Parent of Al Adiyat Racing, Zagato of Al Mohamediya Racing and the Al Afoo Racing quartet of Mehmento, Man of Eden, Sovereign Spirit and Young Ireland.
In the Al Wasmiya Cup by Al Salam Bank—a sprint over five furlongs—a field of 18 are entered. Al Adiyat are represented by Instinctive Move, Powertrain and Rebel At Dawn, while Al Mohamediya sees Edward Cornelius in the fray. Al Afoo have three horses competing, including Ocean Star, Ananna, and Maystar.
The other horses are Amaan racing for owner Mohamed Jasim Jaafar, Anthem National for James and Susan Cookson, Brazen Bolt for Fishlake Commercial Motors Ltd, Fighter Pilot for Esnaad Racing,
