Egyptian, Tunisian Ministers of Planning talk ways of cooperation in economic development



CAIRO - 23 May 2024: Egyptian Minister of Planning and Economic Development, Dr. Hala Al-Saeed, met with Dr. Ferial Al-Warghi, wife of Tunisian Minister of Economy and Planning of the Republic Feryel Ouerghi Sebai to discuss ways to strengthen relations in the fields of planning, economic development and investment.

 

During the meeting, Hala Al-Saeed reviewed the role of the Sovereign Fund of Egypt, its mechanism of operation, and the investment opportunities provided by the Fund.

 

Al-Saeed also touched on the Ministry’s work areas related to raising the efficiency of public investment, preparing visions and plans, and the plan and financing programs related to Egypt’s Vision 2030, as well as the Ministry’s role in implementing building programs.   

 

Al-Saeed praised the distinguished Egyptian-Tunisian relations, which are characterized by strength and durability, as communication between Egypt and Tunisia extends to historical roots at all levels, especially in the economic and cultural field, in addition to the presence of many commonalities between the two sister countries, noting that the common relations between the two brotherly countries have witnessed remarkable development and coordination in many files over the past years.
