US Embassy supports inclusive economic growth and sustainable tourism in Tafilah – Roya News English

U.S. Ambassador Henry T. Wooster met on Wednesday with government officials, educators, and conservation experts in Tafilah governorate. Joined by members of the U.S. Embassy economic, political, public affairs and international development teams, Ambassador Wooster underscored U.S. government support for inclusive economic growth across Jordan.

“Jordan and the United States share a deep connection. The U.S. government is committed to promoting development and education opportunities across Jordan. My meetings today with young people, local officials, and educators in Tafilah highlighted the work Jordan has done to create opportunities for all,” said Ambassador Wooster. He further noted, “I have long been impressed by the Dana Biosphere Reserve and Jordan’s many natural splendors, and I enjoyed hearing more about sustainable ecotourism opportunities today.”

Ambassador Wooster met with Governor Muhammad Abu-Jamous to discuss areas of mutual interest, including the potential for economic growth in Tafilah and the challenges of development in the Dana Biosphere Reserve.
