EU and China to Resume Regular Economic Talks Amid Market Access Concerns

The European Union's Commissioner for Trade announced on Monday that Beijing and Brussels will resume their regular discussions on macroeconomic issues. This comes as the European Union expresses concerns about "unequal market access," while Beijing is worried about the European investigation into Chinese support for electric cars.

Commissioner Valdis Dombrovskis stated in a joint press conference with Chinese Vice Premier He Lifeng following discussions in Beijing, "We have agreed to resume regular communications to discuss macroeconomic issues and relaunch economic and financial dialogues. The macroeconomic dialogue will be essential in this regard, and we look forward to these dialogues in the coming months.
