Consultant appointed to evaluate economic impact of Sultan Haitham City

Ministry of Housing and Urban Planning has taken strategic steps to bolster development of Sultan Haitham City.Muscat – Ministry of Housing and Urban Planning has taken strategic steps to bolster development of Sultan Haitham City, a cornerstone project aimed at transforming the urban landscape of Oman in line with Oman Vision 2040.

The ministry stated that it has appointed a consultant to evaluate the long-term economic impact of the project, assessing both cost and potential returns. It has also appointed an urban consultant for development of real estate projects in the city’s neighbourhoods.

During a dialogue session titled ‘The Economic Dimensions of Sultan Haitham City and Civilisational Development Projects’ held by the Ministry of Economy last week, H E Dr Khalfan bin Saeed al Shuaili, Minister of Housing and Urban Planning, discussed the broader implications of the project. “Sultan Haitham City is poised to significantly influence our urban design and contribute to demographic and economic growth across the sultanate,” he stated.
