More than 1,000 commercial stores violates cashless payment service in Oman

The Ministry of Commerce, Industry, and Investment Promotion in the Sultanate of Oman conducted over 4,900 inspection visits in 2023.

The post More than 1,000 commercial stores violates cashless payment service in Oman appeared first on The Arabian Stories News.MUSCAT : The Inspection Department in Muscat achieved significant milestones throughout the year, releasing 193 alarms for fuel stations, issuing warnings to violators, and addressing 4 exhibition violations resulting in closures. A total of 652 inspection visits were conducted at fuel stations, while 73 showrooms affiliated with the Ministry of Merchants underwent thorough checks.

Inspectors also scrutinized 833 commercial scales and goldsmiths to maintain accuracy and fairness in trade practices. Furthermore, the Ministry supervised 195 draws, ensuring transparency and fairness in various business processes.

The highlight of the Ministry’s efforts was the emphasis on electronic payment devices. Out of 4,911 inspection visits, 1,183 commercial establishments faced violations for not complying with the mandate, underscoring the Ministry’s commitment to advancing modern and convenient payment options for consumers.
