Oman and Etihad Rail have inked a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Al Jazeera Steel Products Company.

Engineer Mohammed bin Zahran Al Mahrouqi, Executive Vice President of Oman and Etihad Rail, and Venkat A.N., CEO of Al Jazeera Steel Products Company, signed the memorandum. Al Mahrouqi emphasized the partnership’s commitment to providing effective logistical solutions, aligning with the vision of the railway link project between Oman and the Emirates.

Highlighting the significance of the collaboration, Al Jazeera Steel’s CEO outlined the memorandum’s potential to expand services to Gulf Cooperation Council markets and other export destinations alongside improving logistical costs.

The agreement focuses on recognizing the railway network as a pivotal link in the region’s extended transport and logistics chain. This strategic move is expected to attract international companies, foster long-term economic relations, and promote sustainable operational practices.
