Oman’s DBBS urges caution regarding blood donation requests via social media

The Department of Blood Bank Services (DBBS) is encouraging families of patients in need to blood to review blood banks before sharing appeals online.

The post Oman’s DBBS urges caution regarding blood donation requests via social media appeared first on The Arabian Stories News.MUSCAT : In an announcement issued online, the DBBS has emphasized the importance of exercising caution when seeking blood donations through social media platforms.“Messages requesting blood through social media may not provide the required blood to the patient. Therefore, we advise the families of patients in need of blood to review blood banks before publishing these messages, as the blood bank can provide blood to the patient through the available stock, by communicating with blood donors, or by broadcasting appeals through social media,” stated the announcement.
