Qatar, Malta: Promising prospects for cooperation, economic projects, joint investments – The Peninsula

Within the framework of Qatar’s endeavor to find new, fruitful partnerships and consolidate good relations with various countries, HE the President of the Republic of Malta George Vella will begin an official visit to the country.

Amir H H Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani will meet H E the President of Malta at the Amiri Diwan today to discuss bilateral relations between the two countries and ways to support and develop them, in addition to reviewing a number of issues of common interest.

The visit and discussions are expected to contribute to supporting and developing relations between Doha and Valletta and transferring them to new and advanced levels of cooperation and coordination in the political, economic, commercial, investment fields and other sectors. The State of Qatar and the Republic of Malta have strong and long-term friendly relations. The State of Qatar’s decision to open an embassy in the Republic of Malta on Nov. 20, 2013 contributed to strengthening the existing relations between the two countries in various fields. There are many indicators and positive developments that promise further expansion of cooperation between the two countries in order to achieve common interests and aspirations.
