‎Chemical products exports down 14% to SAR 8.1 bln in December 2022; imports up 6% to SAR 5.6 bln

Saudi Arabia's exports of chemical industry products and related products reached nearly SAR 8.09 billion in December 2022, marking a year-on-year (YoY) decrease of 14%.

Compared to November 2022, exports of chemical products fell by SAR 747.4 billion, or 8.4%.

Exports of chemical products represented 36% of total non-oil exports in December 2022, amounting to SAR 22.71 billion, as shown in the following table:

India topped the list of countries importing chemical products from Saudi Arabia by nearly SAR 1.9 billion and 23% of the total value of exports of chemical products in December 2022. China and the UAE followed at 15% and 5%, respectively, as indicated in the table below:

On the other hand, the Kingdom's imports of chemical and industry-related products amounted to SAR 5.61 billion during December 2022, up by 6% YoY.

Compared to November 2022, imports of chemical and industry-related products for December recorded a decrease of SAR 69.9 million, by 1%.

Imports of chemical and industry-related products during December accounted for 9% of the total imports amounting to SAR 62.2 billion.
