FGCCC chairman affirms importance of accelerating GCC economic integration initiatives – Saudi Gazette

KUWAIT — Ajlan Bin Abdulaziz Al-Ajlan, chairman of the Federation of Gulf Cooperation Council Chambers (FGCCC), stated that the GCC countries have met the challenges posed by regional and international developments via taking numerous economic and financial measures to protect their economies, maintain their stability, and continue their growth, particularly in terms of oil market stability.

The meeting was hosted by the Kuwait Chamber of Commerce and Industry.

Al-Ajlan affirmed that the GCC private sector is eager to hasten the implementation of all the GCC economic integration initiatives, projects, and programs that were approved at Al-Ula Summit and will be implemented by 2025, such as the customs union, the Gulf common market, food security, and the Gulf railway network.

He urged greater coordination and cooperation among the GCC governments and the private sector in light of the present challenges, as well as joint work between the FGCCC and the GCC's Secretariat General to create joint initiatives and programs that would fulfill the aspirations of the GCC nations' leaders and peoples. — SPA
