ADGM based emerging markets hedge fund Argentem Creek partners appoints Marteen Terlouw as President

Argentem Creek Partners, an emerging market credit specialist firm, has named Maarten Terlouw as President and Co-Chief Investment Officer. In his new role, Terlouw will co-manage the firm’s on-going strategy, governance, investments, trade finance and related risk management. He will also be responsible for the firm’s ESG initiative. He will be based in New York, reporting to Dan Chapman, CEO.

Terlouw joins Argentem Creek after 25+ years with ABN AMRO Bank, where he most recently served as Chief Executive Officer Americas and Chief Sustainability Officer. During his tenure at the firm, he held senior positions in investment banking and advisory across sectors including Industrials, Energy, Trade & Commodity Finance, Global Transportation & Logistics in New York, London, and Amsterdam. Through these leadership positions, he has managed many global teams, developed deep product expertise and cultivated extensive relationships across the natural resources sector and throughout emerging markets. Terlouw brings invaluable global experience leading and growing complex businesses across various industries and in emerging markets. He has a strong track record developing and executing new product and growth strategies, while managing and instituting best practices in regulatory and operational platforms as well as risk management frameworks.
