CBUAE holds interest rates steady

UAE – Mubasher: The Central Bank of the UAE (CBUAE) has opted to keep interest rates unchanged, following a similar decision by the US Federal Reserve. The CBUAE has also retained the Base Rate for the Overnight Deposit Facility (ODF) at 5.40%, according to the Emirates News Agency (WAM). Additionally, the central bank has kept the interest rate for short-term liquidity borrowing at 0.50% above the Base Rate for all standing credit facilities. Meanwhile, the US Federal Reserve has maintained interest rates within a range of 5.25% to 5.5%.
