Dubai’s Department of Economy and Tourism reaches conspicuous success at Arabian Travel Market 2023

In​​ an effort to cement its place as one of the world’s leading travel destinations, Dubai’s Department of Economy and Tourism (DET) held the 30th Arabian Travel Market (ATM) from May 1- 4 at the Dubai World Trade Center.

The DET brought more than 122 public and private sector establishments together, bringing about fruitful business opportunities as well as bright future prospects for the country’s tourism sector.

Adopting the ‘Working towards Net Zero’ theme, this year’s ATM shed light on responsible tourism – which goes in parallel with the UAE’s Year of Sustainability.

The four-day event highlighted how the city’s tourism industry enormously contributes to the strategic UAE Net Zero 2050 initiative, in accordance for the vision of UAE Vice President and Prime Minister Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, the Ruler of Dubai.

Sustainability as top priority

The ATM’s sustainability theme also involves the discussions for arranging the monumental UN Climate Change conference COP28, set to be held later this year in the UAE.

The ATM also addressed Dubai’s distinguished multi-pronged blueprint for sustainable development, conforming with the Dubai Economic Agenda D33.
