UAE’s Tadweer, Saudi SIRC to explore investment opportunities in the waste management sector

The Abu Dhabi Waste Management Company (Tadweer) announced the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Saudi Investment Recycling Company (SIRC) to explore potential investment opportunities in the waste management and recycling sector.

The MoU was signed by Eng. Ali Al Dhaheri, Chief Executive Officer of Tadweer, and Eng. Ziyad Al Shiha, Group CEO of the Saudi Investment Recycling Company (SIRC), at SIRC’s headquarters in Saudi Arabia, in the presence of a number of officials from both parties.

Under the terms of the MoU, both parties will seek to enhance collaboration and jointly explore investment opportunities in regional and global markets, discuss joint options for adopting optimal recycling technology and solutions, and work to identify feasible solutions to treat and convert municipal solid waste into energy and sustainable aviation fuel. The two parties will also explore opportunities for cooperation in training, capacity building, and creating awareness in the sector, in addition to conducting studies and research, and exchanging knowledge and expertise in the field.
