Bahrain: Over 99% of positive cases are not vaccinated

Lt. Col. Dr. Manaf Al Qahtani, Infectious Diseases Consultant & Microbiologist at the BDF Hospital and Member of the National Taskforce for Combating Coronavirus (COVID-19)The National Taskforce for Combating the Coronavirus (COVID-19) today held a press conference to provide an update on the Kingdom's COVID-19 response.Based on the statistics, 99.2% of positive cases are people who did not receive the vaccination, and only 0.8% of cases are people who completed both doses of vaccination.National Taskforce for Combating Coronavirus (Covid-19) monitoring committee head Lt Col Dr Manaf Al Qahtani urged citizens and residents to register for vaccines in order to achieve herd immunity that contributes to protecting the individual and the society.He mentioned that all vaccinations are safe and effective helping to reduce the possibility of infection and severity of symptoms if infected.
