HM King Hamad today announced the creation of a new medal, the Prince Salman bin Hamad Medal for Medical Merit.

This medal will be awarded to doctors, nurses, and medical staff, as well as to those who were martyred while performing their medical duties, in addition to frontline workers who made significant contributions and services.
