NHRA organizes workshop on “The Permit to Use”

The National Health Regulatory Authority Bahrain (NHRA) organized a workshop on “The Permit to Use” for medical devices/services to make sure that they are following quality and safety. “The permit to use is a unique national project that was established in 2018 to make sure that NHRA’s vision and mission are implemented. The workshop is part of enhancing the awareness of stakeholders in health and medical facilities about the legal and safe use of medical devices and services. The workshop was organized at the headquarters of NGN International at the World Trade Center in Manama and was attended by engineer Omar Ismail Abdullah and Engineer Talal Abdullah Al Hamri, where they discussed guidelines on how to verify that medical devices conform to the terms of reference for the medical facility and international quality and safety standards. According to the workshop, the term “Mdical Devices and Equipment” refers to all items used in the healthcare industry for the diagnosis, prevention, control, or treatment of illnesses or disabilities that cannot be treated with pharmaceutical, immunological, or metabolic means.
