Updating certification audit mechanism contributes to security qualified cadres in all medical disciplines

President of Bahrain Nursing Society, Dr Jamila Jassim Mekhaimer, affirmed that the decision of the Cabinet, chaired by His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister, regarding the comprehensive update of the audit of university degrees and educational qualifications reflects the Kingdom of Bahrain’s interest in developing the educational sector and motivating the human element to arm themselves with science and knowledge.

Dr Mekhaimer stressed the support accorded by Bahrain Nursing Society to the Health Regulatory Authority as a partner in the comprehensive update to verify the competence of health stakeholders before granting them a licence to practice the profession in the Kingdom of Bahrain, after undergoing the licensing examination and other necessary procedures. She pointed out the importance of securing the qualified health cadre in all medical disciplines in order to provide the best health care services in the kingdom.

She expressed the society’s support for the Cabinet’s decision to authorize local universities to audit certificates and academic qualifications by relying on national standards for higher education and the internationally approved ones so as to ensure that the basic courses of specialized health professions are met.
