Education Minister honours candidates for Gulf Medal during COVID-19 pandemic – The Peninsula

Doha: Minister of Education and Higher Education H E Buthaina bint Ali Al Jabr Al Nuaimi has honoured the candidates for the Gulf Medal during the COVID-19 pandemic 2020-2021, which is organised annually by the GCC Girl Guides Committee, for those who have achieved something in various areas of excellence.

During the ceremony, which was held at the headquarters of the Qatar Scouts and Girl Guides Association, Assistant Undersecretary for Educational Affairs and Vice-Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Qatar Scouts and Girl Guides Association Fawzia Abdulaziz Al Khater said that the scout camp aims to strengthen the bonds of cooperation between girl guides and those who have been honoured for their role in providing the scouting and guiding experience with all that is distinguished, creative and beneficial.

In her statement, Head of the Program Committee of the Qatar Scouts and Guides Association Aisha Al Shirawi expressed her happiness at honouring the girl guides who had distinguished work in programmes and activities during the COVID-19 pandemic, contributing to achieving the vision and mission of the Qatar Scouts and Guides Association.
