India reports 161,736 new Covid-19 cases in 24 hours

India on Tuesday reported 161,736 new Covid-19 infections, once again hitting the world's highest daily tally touching a total of 13.69 million cases, the health ministry data showed.The death toll rose by 879 to 171,058.
