Drugs cannot treat coronaviruses: Expert – Roya News English

Jihad Nasser El-Din, a specialist in pharmaceutical technology, said that drugs cannot treat coronaviruses, smallpox, influenza and seasonal flus but rather control the symptoms until the immune system recovers from them.

He told Roya’s Akhbar Al Sabea Sunday that drugs approved to be used in the treatment of COVID-19 are from the cortisone types, especially dexamethasone, which is used only for cases that require artificial respiration.

He pointed out that there are two studies on two types of drugs around the world to treat the coronavirus, pointing out that Jordan participated in these studies.
