Health Ministry calls for accelerating COVID-19 – Roya News English

Thursday, the Assistant Secretary-General of the Ministry of Health (MoH) for Primary Health Care Ghazi Sharkas called for accelerating the pace of vaccination against the coronavirus in order to limit the spread of the virus in the Kingdom.

In a statement to the Jordan News Agency (Petra), Sharkas said "We are about to reopen sectors, schools and universities. In order to reduce the number of infections after the reopening of sectors, the pace of vaccination and the demand for conducting PCR tests for those who come into contact with [positive] cases must accelerate."

Sharkas also pointed out that vaccinating pregnant and lactating women is ‘optional,’ however, they must conduct a PCR test weekly.
