Health Ministry hopes to vaccinate six million against COVID-19 before end of 2021 – Roya News English

Friday, the Minister of Health, Feras Al-Hawari, said that the Ministry of Health hopes to vaccinate six million people in Jordan against the coronavirus before the end of the current year.

He stressed that Jordan can reach this figure in the event that vaccines are available and companies adhere to the scheduled dates to provide the country with vaccines.

He added that if Jordan wants to begin vaccinating those aged 18 and below, the Kingdom needs to obtain 15 million additional doses of the COVID-19 vaccines.

He stressed that registering for vaccination will only take place through the official online platform (www.vaccine.jo) designated for receiving the coronavirus vaccine.

As of April 19, a total of 607,381 people received the first dose of the coronavirus vaccine, while 124,671 received the second dose.

As of the same date, the National Center for Security and Crisis Management (NCSCM) said that 1,273,829 people have registered for COVID-19 vaccination on the Ministry of Health's online platform.
